How does license verification work?
After you upload your license information, our team verifies it against state records. Verified licenses receive a green "Verified" badge on your profile, which helps you stand out to employers. Verification typically takes 3-5 business days.
How do employers contact me?
Employers can send you a contact request directly through the platform. You will receive a notification and can review the message, respond, or decline. Your personal contact information is never shared without your consent.
Can I set my own hourly rate?
Yes. You can set a minimum and maximum hourly rate range on your profile. This helps employers understand your rate expectations upfront. You can update your rates at any time from your dashboard.
How do I update my availability?
From your dashboard, you can set your weekly availability schedule by day of the week. You can also toggle your overall availability status to "Available" or "Unavailable" at any time.

Visit the "Find Guards" page to browse all available security professionals. You can filter by state, license type (armed, unarmed, commissioned), availability, and search by name, city, or skill. Results show guards' credentials, experience, and availability at a glance.
What does it cost to use ByDuty Jobs?
Browsing guard profiles and using search filters is free. To contact guards directly, you need to register an employer account. Contact us for information about our employer plans and pricing.
How do I contact a guard?
Once you have registered and signed in as an employer, you can send a contact request from any guard's profile page. Include details about the position or assignment, and the guard will be notified to review and respond to your message.
How do I know if a guard's credentials are legitimate?
Look for the green "Verified" badge on guard profiles — this means their license has been verified against state records. You can also see their background check and drug test status, certifications, and employment history directly on their profile.
Can I save guards for later?
Yes. When you find guards that match your needs, you can save them to your favorites list from your employer dashboard. This makes it easy to build and manage your own talent pool for future assignments.
